So I arrive in DC, and eat an extremely delicious lunch at a restaurant called Nopa.

This is Nopa’s house made lavender-lemon soda. I wasn’t aware that lavender is drinkable, but apparently it is, and it’s delicious.

Prior to the show with Steven Tyler, I make several stops at various congressional offices with Bart Herbison (NSAI) to talk about songwriter rights. I meet and play for several congressmen and their staff.

In the office of Congressman Howard Coble, we unexpectedly run into a group of high school students from North Carolina who are on a school trip, and I play for them:

After we leave the office, one of the girls comes up and gives me a hug, which is awesome. I love hugs.
